4.1. Handheld Transmitter

5.2. Receiver Wiring

  1. Locate the millivolt gas valve on your fireplace.
  2. Identify the two terminals designated for remote control or thermostat connection. These are typically labeled TH and TH/TP or similar.
  3. Connect the two wires from the receiver unit to these terminals. The polarity of these wires usually does not matter for a dry contact switch.

5.3. Mounting the Receiver

After wiring, mount the receiver unit to the wall using the provided wall plate and hardware. Ensure it is in a location where it can receive signals from the transmitter, ideally within 20 feet and not obstructed by large metal objects.

The transmitter and receiver must be paired to communicate. This process is called the "learning function."
