1. Rhagymadrodd
The SkyTech SKY-5301 remote control system provides a safe, reliable, and user-friendly method for operating gas heating appliances. This system allows for both thermostatic and manual control directly from the handheld transmitter. It operates using radio frequencies (RF) within a 20-foot range, utilizing non-directional signals. The system is pre-programmed with one of 1,048,567 security codes at the factory. For initial use, the remote receiver's code must be matched to the transmitter's code.

5.2. Receiver Wiring
The receiver unit must be wired to your fireplace's millivolt gas valve. This process typically involves connecting two wires from the receiver to the appropriate terminals on the gas valve. Ensure the fireplace's gas supply is turned OFF before proceeding with any wiring.
- Locate the millivolt gas valve on your fireplace.
- Identify the two terminals designated for remote control or thermostat connection. These are typically labeled TH and TH/TP or similar.
- Connect the two wires from the receiver unit to these terminals. The polarity of these wires usually does not matter for a dry contact switch.
- Sicrhewch y cysylltiadau.
5.3. Mounting the Receiver
After wiring, mount the receiver unit to the wall using the provided wall plate and hardware. Ensure it is in a location where it can receive signals from the transmitter, ideally within 20 feet and not obstructed by large metal objects.
5.4. Pairing the Transmitter and Receiver (Learning Function)
The transmitter and receiver must be paired to communicate. This process is called the "learning function."
- Ensure batteries are installed in both units.
- On the receiver unit, slide the ON/REMOTE/OFF switch to the PELL sefyllfa.
- Pwyswch a dal y DYSGU button on the receiver for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a short beep.
- Within 20 seconds of the beep, press any button on the handheld transmitter.
