It utilizes advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to ensure maximum power extraction from your solar panels, providing rapid, efficient, and safe charging for your battery system. This manual provides essential information for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your solar charge controller.

5. Gosod a Gosod

Follow these steps for safe and correct installation of your MPPT solar charge controller. Ensure all power sources are disconnected before making any connections.

5.1 Wiring Order

  1. Cysylltwch y Batri: Connect the battery to the controller's battery terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative). Ensure a secure connection. The controller will automatically detect the battery voltage.
  2. Cysylltu'r Paneli Solar: Connect the solar panel array to the controller's solar panel terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative). Ensure correct polarity.
  3. Cysylltu'r Llwyth: Connect the DC load to the controller's load terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative).

Important: Always connect the battery first and disconnect the solar panels first when disassembling the system.

5.3 Mowntio

  • Mount the controller vertically on a wall or stable surface to allow for optimal airflow.
  • Ensure there is sufficient space around the controller for heat dissipation, especially above and below the unit where the cooling fan and vents are located.
  • Avoid mounting in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

  • Energy Statistics: KWH charged.
  • System Icons: Indicate solar charging, battery status, load status, temperature, and fault conditions.

6.2 Botwm Rheoli

Use the buttons (A, B, C, D, SET) to navigate through the display menus and adjust parameters. Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific functions.

  • Botwm SET: Enters/exits menu, confirms selections.
  • Botymau A, B, C, D: Navigate menus, adjust values.
  • A+D Reset: Press A and D buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to perform a system reset.

The controller supports various battery types. Ensure the correct battery type is selected in the settings for optimal charging and battery longevity. The charging algorithm adapts to the selected battery type (e.g., GEL, AGM, Flooded, LI, LiFePO4).

  • Ehangu System: If expanding your solar system, ensure the new components are compatible with your existing setup and the controller's capacity. For higher current needs, two 60A controllers can be put in parallel to achieve 120A.
