The Kozyard Adjustable Window Awning is designed for straightforward installation on various wall types. Two people are recommended for assembly and mounting.

5.1 Wall Compatibility

This awning is suitable for installation on wood, brick, and concrete walls. The package includes stainless steel screws, anchors, and spacers designed for secure mounting. Always ensure the chosen wall location is structurally sound.

The awning can be installed over doors, windows, balconies, and even to protect outdoor equipment like AC units or EV chargers.

5.3 Assembly and Mounting Steps

  2. Assemble Awning Frame: Follow the detailed diagrams in the included instruction sheet to connect the awning base parts and adjustable support tubes. Ensure all bolts are initially hand-tightened.

The Kozyard Adjustable Window Awning features a 4-level tilt adjustment mechanism, allowing you to customize the shade and airflow.

The awning's angle can be adjusted to one of four positions using the ball detent design on the support arms. This allows you to easily block harsh summer sun or open up for better ventilation in cooler seasons.

  • Swydd 1: Fully Extended (Maximum shade/protection)
  • Swydd 2: Intermediate Extension
  • Swydd 3: Intermediate Extension
  • Swydd 4: Minimum Extension (Least shade/protection)

To adjust, gently lift or lower the support arms until the ball detent locks into the desired position. Ensure both arms are set to the same position for stability.

  • Glanhau: Clean the awning regularly with a soft cloth, mild soap, and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the powder coating. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

If you encounter issues with your Kozyard Adjustable Window Awning, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Awning feels unstable after installation:
    Ateb: Ensure all mounting screws and frame bolts are fully tightened. Verify that the wall anchors are correctly installed and appropriate for your wall material. Re-check the structural integrity of the mounting surface.
  • Water pooling on the awning or dripping unevenly:
    Ateb: Check the front gutter for any debris (leaves, dirt) that might be blocking drainage. Ensure the awning is installed with a slight downward slope to allow water to run off into the gutter. Verify that both support arms are set to the same angle.
  • Difficulty adjusting the awning angle:
    Ateb: Inspect the ball detent mechanism on the support arms for any obstructions or damage. Ensure the arms are clean and free of dirt that might impede movement. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if necessary.
  • Awning appears to be rusting:
