4. Gosod

4.1. Gosod Batri

The UT593/UT595 requires 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). To install or replace batteries:

  1. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnect all test leads.
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the rear of the instrument.

  4. Insert the battery, observing correct polarity (+ and -).

5.1. Pweru Ymlaen / I ffwrdd

Rotate the central dial to the desired function to power on the device. The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

5.2. Dewis Swyddogaeth

Use the large rotary dial to select the desired measurement function (e.g., Insulation, Continuity, Loop, RCD, Voltage). The selected function will be indicated on the LCD display.

5.3. Performing Tests

After selecting a function and connecting the test leads, press the PRAWF button to initiate the measurement. Observe the readings on the LCD display. Use the function buttons (F1, F2, F3, F4) for additional settings or to cycle through sub-functions within a mode.

  • Prawf Gwrthiant Inswleiddio: Select the Insulation mode and desired test voltage (250V, 500V, 1000V). Connect leads and press TEST.
  • Prawf Parhad: Select Continuity mode. Connect leads to the circuit under test and press TEST.
  • Prawf RCD: Select RCD mode. Choose trip current and wave type (Full/Half). Connect leads to the RCD protected circuit and press TEST.
  • Loop/PFC/PSC Test: Select Loop mode. Connect leads to the circuit and press TEST.
  • AC / DC Voltage Prawf: The device can auto-detect and measure AC/DC voltage when connected to a live circuit.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your UNI-T tester.
