5. Cyfarwyddiadau Gweithredu

5.1. Adjusting Boom Length and Capacity

The boom arm offers four adjustable positions, each corresponding to a different lifting capacity. Always select the appropriate boom length for your load to ensure safety and prevent overloading.

Boom arm with four load capacity settings

Image 5.1: The boom arm clearly marked with four load capacities: 2 Ton, 1½ Ton, 1 Ton, and ½ Ton. Always select the shortest boom length possible for the heaviest loads.

  • 2 Ton (4400 lbs): Shortest boom extension. For heaviest loads.
  • 1½ Ton (3300 lbs): Second shortest extension.
  • 1 Ton (2200 lbs): Third shortest extension.
  • ½ Ton (1100 lbs): Longest boom extension. For lighter loads requiring greater reach.

To adjust, remove the locking pin, extend or retract the boom to the desired position, and reinsert the locking pin securely.

5.2. Lifting a Load

  1. Lleoli'r Hoist: Roll the hoist into position with the boom directly over the center of gravity of the load to be lifted. Ensure the hoist's legs are stable and clear of obstructions.
  2. Cysylltu'r Llwyth: Securely attach the lifting chain or sling from the hoist's hook to the load. Ensure the connection is balanced and stable.
  3. Pump the Handle: Close the hydraulic release valve (turn clockwise). Pump the hydraulic handle slowly and steadily to raise the boom and lift the load. Lift only high enough to clear obstacles.
  4. Move the Load: With the load slightly elevated, carefully push or pull the hoist to move the load to its desired location. Move slowly and avoid sudden movements.
  5. Gostyngwch y Llwyth: Once positioned, slowly open the hydraulic release valve (turn counter-clockwise) to lower the load. Control the descent rate to ensure a smooth and safe landing.
  6. Datgysylltu: Once the load is fully supported and stable on its new surface, disconnect the lifting chain/sling.

5.3. Plygu ar gyfer Storio

The Garvee Engine Hoist is designed to fold for compact storage, minimizing space usage in your garage or workshop.
