2. Filling Ink Tanks

The HP Smart Tank 7301 features a mess-free ink refill system. Open the ink tank covers on the printer. Match each ink bottle to its corresponding color tank and gently twist the bottle onto the tank's inlet. The ink will automatically fill the tank without squeezing. Once full, remove the bottle and close the tank cover securely.

3. Installing Printheads

After filling the ink tanks, you will need to install the printheads. Open the access door to the printhead carriage. Insert the black and color printheads into their designated slots until they click into place. Close the access door.
