Gosod

Follow these steps to properly set up your turntable:

  1. Dadbacio a Lleoli: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the turntable on a firm, level surface, away from speakers to minimize vibration feedback.
  2. Stylus/Cartridge Installation: Attach your chosen cartridge to the head shell using the provided screw set. Note: A stylus is not included with the turntable and must be purchased separately.
  3. Tonearm Balance and Tracking Force:
    • Attach the head shell with the cartridge to the tonearm.
    • Mount the balance weight onto the rear of the tonearm.
    • Adjust the balance weight until the tonearm is perfectly level (floating freely).
    • Set the tracking force ring to "0" while the tonearm is balanced.
    • Rotate the balance weight to apply the recommended tracking force for your cartridge (typically 0-4g, as per the turntable's adjustment range).
  4. Addasiad Gwrth-Sglefrio: Set the anti-skating dial to match the tracking force you applied. This helps prevent the stylus from skipping inwards.
  5. Arm-Height Adjustment: The tonearm height can be adjusted from 0 to 6 mm to ensure the tonearm is parallel to the record surface when playing. Use the tonearm height adjustment ring at the base of the tonearm.
  6. Ceblau Cysylltu:
    • Connect the PHONO cable from the turntable's output to the PHONO input on your ampllewywr neu dderbynnydd.
    • Connect the PHONO earth lead (ground wire) from the turntable to the ground terminal on your ampllewywr. Proper grounding is crucial to eliminate hum.
    • Connect the AC power supply cord to the turntable and then to a wall outlet.
  7. Gorchudd Llwch: Place the dust cover on the turntable to protect it when not in use.

Once set up, operating your SL-1200MK7 is straightforward:

  5. Adjust Pitch: Use the pitch control fader to fine-tune the playback speed if desired.
  6. Stopiwch Chwarae: At the end of the record, or when you wish to stop, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever, return it to the tonearm rest, and press the DECHRAU/STOPIO button to halt platter rotation.
