3. Cyfarwyddiadau Gosod

3.1. Cydnawsedd Ffonau Clyfar

The SportDiver housing is compatible with a wide range of smartphones. It accommodates iPhones from iPhone 8 and up, including Pro Max models, and most Android models such as Samsung Galaxy S9 to S23. Please note that the housing will ddim fit Samsung S20 Ultra, S21 Ultra, and S23 Ultra models. The maximum phone dimensions supported are 6.49" x 3.15" x 0.38".

3.2. Gosod Batris

The housing requires two AAA alkaline batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the rear interior of the housing. Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators.

3.3. Install SportDiver App

Download and install the free SportDiver App from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Play Store (for Android devices). Ensure your smartphone's operating system is current or a prior generation for optimal app performance.

3.4. Prepare and Insert Smartphone

  1. Ensure your smartphone is clean and free of debris.
  2. Attach the appropriate size rubber grip tabs to the interior of the housing to securely hold your phone in place.
  3. Carefully place your smartphone into the housing, ensuring it is centered and the screen is visible through the housing's window.

3.5. Sealing the Housing and Vacuum Check

The housing features a cam-lock sealing mechanism and a vacuum check system to ensure waterproof integrity.

  1. Close the housing door, ensuring the O-ring is clean and properly seated. The cam-lock mechanism will secure the door.
  2. Use the provided vacuum pump to create a vacuum inside the housing. This process activates the internal vacuum pressure alarm, which will beep if there is a leak.
  3. Observe the vacuum indicator. A successful vacuum test confirms the housing is sealed.

4.1. Cysylltu â'r App

The SportDiver App connects to the housing via Bluetooth. Once the app is open and the housing is powered on, the app will automatically detect and connect to the housing. This connection enables control of your smartphone's camera functions through the housing's buttons.

The housing features a large shutter lever and rear control buttons for easy operation, even with gloved hands. These controls allow you to navigate the SportDiver App interface and capture images or videos.

4.3. Advanced Camera Settings

The SportDiver App provides access to various camera settings, including Zoom, Exposure (EV), Auto/Manual Focus, White Balance, Tint, and Lens selection. Some settings may vary depending on your smartphone model and operating system. The app also supports RAW+JPEG mode for advanced image capture.

4.4. Using the Color-Correction Filter

The included removable underwater color-correction filter helps restore natural colors in underwater environments, which often appear blue or green without correction. Attach the filter to the housing's lens port before diving for improved image quality.

5.1. O-Ring Care

The O-ring is crucial for maintaining the housing's waterproof seal. After each use, inspect the O-ring for any dirt, sand, hair, or damage. Clean the O-ring and its groove with a soft, lint-free cloth. Apply a thin, even layer of the provided O-ring lubricant to keep it supple and ensure a proper seal. Replace the O-ring if any damage is observed.

5.2. Moisture Muncher

The Moisture Muncher capsule absorbs residual moisture inside the housing, preventing internal fogging. Replace the capsule periodically, especially if you notice signs of moisture or fogging. A sample pack is included, and additional capsules can be purchased separately.

5.3. Post-Dive Cleaning

After each dive, rinse the housing thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, sand, and other contaminants. Operate all buttons and levers while rinsing to flush out any trapped debris. Allow the housing to air dry completely before storage. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials for cleaning.

  • Leak Alarms: The housing is equipped with dual leak alarms. An internal moisture alarm turns red if moisture is detected, and an internal vacuum pressure alarm beeps if internal pressure changes, indicating a potential leak. If an alarm activates, immediately surface and inspect the housing. Do not submerge the housing again until the issue is resolved and a successful vacuum test is performed.
  • Materion Cysylltedd Ap: If the SportDiver App fails to connect via Bluetooth, ensure the housing is powered on and your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled. Restart both the app and the housing if necessary.
  • Internal Fogging: If fogging occurs inside the housing, ensure the Moisture Muncher capsule is fresh and properly installed. Fogging can also be caused by temperature differences; allow the housing to equalize temperature before sealing.
  • Smartphone Battery Drain: Extended use of the smartphone's camera and screen can lead to rapid battery depletion. Ensure your smartphone is fully charged before each dive.
