- Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
- Loosen the side cover nuts and remove the side cover.
- Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face forward on the top of the bar.
- Align the guide bar over the bar studs and engage the chain with the sprocket.
- Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the nuts. Do not fully tighten yet.

- Replace the cap and tighten it securely to prevent leaks.
