Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the chainsaw for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport.

1. Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
2. Loosen the side cover nuts and remove the side cover.
3. Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face forward on the top of the bar.
4. Align the guide bar over the bar studs and engage the chain with the sprocket.
5. Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the nuts. Do not fully tighten yet.
