4. Gosod

4.1 Guide Bar and Saw Chain Assembly

  1. Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug cap is disconnected.
  2. Remove the chain cover nuts and chain cover.
  3. Place the saw chain around the clutch drum and guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges face forward on the top of the guide bar.
  4. Mount the guide bar onto the studs, aligning the chain tensioner pin with the hole in the guide bar.
  5. Replace the chain cover and loosely tighten the nuts.
  6. Adjust chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
  7. Tighten the chain cover nuts securely.

4.2 Tanwydd

The ECHO GC351 uses a 2-stroke engine. It requires a specific mixture of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil.

  • Cymysgedd Tanwydd: Use unleaded gasoline mixed with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio specified by the manufacturer (typically 50:1 or 25:1, refer to your engine oil's instructions).
  • Tanc Tanwydd: Carefully fill the fuel tank, avoiding overfilling. Securely close the fuel tank cap.
  • Chain Oil Tank: Fill the chain oil tank with appropriate chain lubricant. This oil is crucial for lubricating the guide bar and chain during operation. Securely close the oil tank cap.

5. Cyfarwyddiadau Gweithredu

5.1 Cychwyn yr Injan

Cold Start (First start of the day or after a long period of inactivity):

  1. Place the chainsaw on a firm, flat surface.
