  1. Prepare the Filter Media: Open the filter head by releasing the locking clips. Remove the filter baskets. Rinse any new filter media (e.g., sponges, ceramic rings) thoroughly under tap water to remove dust. Arrange the media in the baskets according to the manufacturer's recommendations (typically coarse mechanical at the bottom, fine mechanical/biological in the middle, chemical at the top).
  2. Assemble Inlet and Outlet Pipes: Attach the strainer to the inlet pipe and the spray bar to the outlet pipe. Use the provided suction cups and clips to secure these pipes inside your aquarium. Position the inlet pipe near the bottom of the aquarium and the outlet pipe near the surface for optimal water circulation.
  3. Pibellau Cyswllt: Cut the hoses to the appropriate length, ensuring they are long enough to reach the filter unit without kinks. Connect one hose to the inlet pipe and the other to the outlet pipe inside the aquarium.
  4. Attach Hoses to Filter Head: Connect the hoses from the aquarium to the hose adapter on the filter head. Ensure the "IN" hose from the aquarium's inlet pipe connects to the "IN" port on the adapter, and the "OUT" hose from the aquarium's outlet pipe connects to the "OUT" port. Secure the hoses with the provided clamps.
  5. Secure Filter Head: Place the filter baskets back into the filter unit. Ensure the sealing gasket is correctly seated on the filter head. Carefully place the filter head onto the filter canister and secure it by engaging all locking clips firmly.
  6. Position the Filter: Place the filter unit on a stable surface below the aquarium's water level. This is crucial for the filter to prime correctly and operate efficiently.
